Center named "Champion of Health" SuperiorHealth
Center was named a winner of the 2004 Champions of
Health award, sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
Blue Cross recognized the clinic group for its community-based
work to improve health care. SHC earned the recognition, in part, for using Patient Advisory
Councils (PACs) to address patient needs. Health experts on
the judging panel remarked, "It is so impressive that
this medical group asked the community what they needed, provided
the services, and made a significant impact." Clinics
earn "First Quality" award
The SuperiorHealth clinics in Piedmont and Proctor
were among five northeastern Minnesota clinics that earned
2004 First Quality awards from FirstPlan of Minnesota for
their quality improvement efforts in the past year. SHC earned
top rankings in chart audits for monitoring and controling
high blood pressure, achieving high rates of completed Child
& Teen Checkups, and using evidence-based practice guidelines. Get

SuperiorHealth Center clinics offer walk-in
care for unexpected health care needs such as strains, sprains,
sore throats and fevers. SHC participates with most insurance
plans and accepts credit cards and checks.

for appointments and when we handle your records. We also
are required to abide by federal privacy regulations. You’ll
receive a written summary when you visit the clinic, and you’ll
be asked to sign an acknowledgement that we’ve shared
